OpenRouter launched a new stateful server tool, Shell: any model on the platform can run commands in a hosted Linux container and move files in/out via a new Files API. It is available in beta as openrouter:shell.
Nous Hermes Agent v0.21.0 ships hermes cron doctor for failed/silent scheduled jobs, puts /plan in the menu with Telegram command search, adds nested todo subtasks, keeps files loaded across stepwise code runs with long outputs saved for reread, and hot-updates settings on long-lived sessions without restart.
LangChain merged MCP into the main package: pip install "langchain[mcp]" exposes langchain.mcp on FastMCP with old+new spec negotiation, tool-list caching, and elicitation as LangGraph interrupts—no separate langchain-mcp-adapters install. Python ships today, TypeScript next; still beta.
OpenRouter says OpenAI GPT-6 Astra is live on its aggregator as openai/gpt-6-astra. Internal testing called it highly steerable—“mold it to whatever you want”—a different feel from prior models. A key third-party routing availability milestone for coding and agent workflows that swap models via one API.
