xAI will add an invisible watermark to Grok API text by default from Nov 7, covering grok-4.7 and six other models, with per-model admin opt-out
On Oct 31, xAI (signed as SpaceXSI in its docs) added an "Output Watermarking" page to its API docs: starting November 7, 2026, text generated by grok-4.7, grok-4.6, grok-4.5, grok-4.3, and the reasoning, non-reasoning, and multi-agent versions of grok-4.20 will carry an invisible watermark by default, to comply with the EU AI Act. It covers ordinary text, structured outputs, and tool call arguments on both the Responses and Chat Completions APIs, and works by slightly shaping token choice without adding any characters. Developers can read the x-watermark response header to check; team admins can opt out per model in the Console, but must confirm a legal exception applies, and some models may be locked on.

Ant Group Open-Sources Ming-3.0-tts: 93.2% Pronunciation Accuracy Leading Global Open Speech Models
In the latest independent Text-to-Speech (TTS) evaluations published by Artificial Analysis, Ant Group's open-source Ming-3.0-tts achieved a 93.2% pronunciation accuracy score, ranking #1 among all 31 evaluated models (outperforming commercial leader ElevenLabs v4 at 91.7%). Offering both a dense 0.5B parameter variant and a 7.9B mixture-of-experts (MoE) model, it delivers voice cloning and preset voices with a Controlled Voice Elo score of 1,069 (#1 among open-weight models), fully released under the permissive MIT license.

OpenAI Signs Four Abu Dhabi Agreements: ADNOC Becomes First Energy Company to Deploy Its Frontier Tech, Machine-Readable Government Pilot Already Live
On November 2, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled met OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and witnessed four agreements: ADNOC, with G42 subsidiary Inception42, will deploy OpenAI frontier technology; the Abu Dhabi Government and OpenAI launched an AI-native Machine-Readable Government initiative whose first food-import compliance pilot is already in production; Mubadala will apply AI to investment analysis; and Inception42 and OpenAI signed a five-year partnership. Inference runs inside the UAE.
