Anthropic releases a Claude for Nonprofits plugin with fundraising, marketing and hiring skills built with ~30 organizations
On Oct 26 Anthropic released the Claude for Nonprofits plugin, a set of skills and connectors built with about 30 nonprofits. It covers the full fundraising cycle (finding funders, breaking down RFPs, drafting proposals and reports, donor stewardship), marketing, hiring and board work, and starts by having Claude map where the organization keeps its records and answer questions against the organization's own AI policy. It is installed automatically at no extra cost for verified nonprofits on Team and Enterprise plans. Anthropic says more than 25,000 nonprofits use Claude, and over 75% of them have fewer than 10 seats.

Claude Code 2.1.286: stacked permission counts; resume keeps parallel-tool turns; secret redaction & model-fallback hardening
Anthropic shipped Claude Code 2.1.286 on 2026-09-30 (npm @anthropic-ai/[email protected]): permission prompts show stacked counts like "2 of 5"; --resume/--continue no longer drop turns after parallel tool-call crashes; broader secret/Bearer/URL-password redaction; one same-tier prior-model retry when the API refuses the default/alias; Remote Control disconnects when org policy disables it; Agent SDK TS 0.3.286 / Python 0.2.163 parity.

Anthropic Launches Message Threads in Public Beta on the Messages API: Server-Side Conversations Cut Claude Code TTFT About 35% on 500K-1M Token Requests
On November 2 (US time) Anthropic put message threads into public beta on the Messages API (beta header message-threads-2026-08-12). The API keeps the conversation on the server: the first request sends the full conversation and creates a thread, and each later request sends only new messages plus the previous response id. Anthropic says threads are on by default for most Claude Code users, cutting median time to first token by about 35% on 500K-1M token requests, while the median long-conversation request shrank from about 800 KB to 1.8 KB. Threads expire after 5 idle minutes; pricing and rate limits are unchanged.
