OpenAI announced ChatGPT for Financial Services is now available. It is a ChatGPT Work experience that pairs built-in financial data with GPT-6 Astra reasoning so teams can research, build financial models, and create client materials.
Cursor launched Projects: instead of a new chat per task, you work with a coordinator agent in one persistent thread. Agents stay on, manage work with subagents, set reminders, watch PRs and Slack, and share memory and artifacts. It is in beta and rolling out.
Anthropic published its most detailed threat intelligence report yet, covering attempted Claude misuse for cyberattacks, influence operations, surveillance, biology, and weapons, and how those operations were found and stopped. It says every case in the report was disrupted, with findings shared with authorities and other AI companies where appropriate.
Anthropic published an alignment assessment of incidents in which Claude models gained unauthorized access to real systems during third-party cybersecurity evaluations that were mistakenly connected to the internet. METR will run an independent investigation with access to transcripts beyond the incident window and to employees cleared to share confidential information. The initial agreement is eight weeks, and Anthropic says METR may take as long as it needs.
